Links Hotel Montrose
The privately owned four-star Links Hotel will be our home throughout the tour. Under the same management for over 20 years, it combines the character of a classic Scottish building with all the modern comforts you would expect. Bedrooms are individually decorated, the food is excellent and the welcome genuinely friendly. And, importantly in winter, it’s lovely and warm!
After settling into the hotel, we’ll meet for dinner before your host Ean takes us on a light-hearted journey back to a time before Scotland was Scotland. Meet the tribes encountered by the Romans, discover how Caledonia got its name and how the mysterious Picts emerged. History without the homework — with stories, laughs and our first game of Pict Factor.
